Their Altines retailed for a RRP of 21800 yen: livedoor.blogim...

I found one for 12k used. quesQ have flawless prototypes, bad QC, and they're overpriced. I like how ambitious they are in taking up various GKs which otherwise would never have received any prepainted line (with the exception of Gathering I suppose) but let's be realistic.

There's Ques hate? Personally I adore Ques Q. From my impression they seem like a smaller manufacturer but their attention to detail has been great on the three figures I own from them. Some figures may not be as grand as those put out by bigger companies but what they do they make spot-on IMO. Maybe I've been lucky with the ones I've had but I've always been really surprised when I've heard people compare Ques and Griffon. They're multiple tiers of quality apart for me, I'd even rate Ques Q above Kotobukiya from my experiences. The only complaint though would be some of their figures seem to be smaller in scale, looking more like a 1/8.5 scale next to say an Alter figure. Then again even figures from the same companies have varying scale issues too.

I own a couple Ques Q figures and I suppose they are a hit or miss. The vast majority of them are actually nice and have been very nice lately.

I've kinda wondered about quesQ myself, I don't own any figures by them but have been interested in their Kancolle girls. The thing I'm unsure about is what a few people have said about the scale of their figures being smaller than they should, and at the price their figures are at I'm not going to bite just yet.

Don't bother with the manufacturer worshipping crap. There's too much production sharing these days for the brands to consistently live up to the hype. This used to happen mostly for companies under the GSC umbrella, but now it's spilled over to the rest of the industry since it's worked so well. Not only can companies rent production to meet unexpected demand, a mediocre company can also rent time in a high-end factory to make amazing figures for brand building.

First and foremost, consider the quality of a particular figure. Use manufacturer branding only as a rough guide.

I definitely agree on this one. I used to own this figure and I was really disappointed with the quality.

Coffee (1年前) #3819310I've only owned ITEM #96486 and the quality was mediocre prize figure quality.

I have ITEM #102204 and ITEM #24270 and I have no complaints except the first SNAPPED out of nowhere once (at least it was on her sock/leg sewing..)

They are both very detailed and beautiful, no paint errors or sloppy sewings, but I wouldn't compare them to Alter or GSC though.

Kimm134Saya (1年前) #3820361This is also my only fiqure by Ques Q, and I agree with Take. It's definitely one of my most beautiful figures. I might be a bit biased because of the character, though.

I own the Christmas ver. ITEM #173331 of her and I completely agree with you; she's also one of the best figures I own. Furthermore I have ITEM #143044 and she's a very nice figure as well (without any paint errors or other flaws)

Take (1年前) #3819299I have ITEM #144476 and it's Alter-tier level. No, it is even superior to Alter when it comes to the details of the book. And this is coming from a guy whose majority of the collection is from Alter, so I know what I'm speaking about. She is the only Ques Q figure I own, so I wouldn't be able to generalize, but I have been holding Ques Q in high regard since then and would be thrilled to get another figure from them.

This is also my only fiqure by Ques Q, and I agree with Take. It's definitely one of my most beautiful figures. I might be a bit biased because of the character, though.
