Fullmetal Alchemist Loot (Mystery Box)

MaakieMaakie2年前Loot
So, this loot blog will be a bit different as it was a surprise for me what I bought! The only thing I knew for sure, is that this package would have Fullmetal Alchemist items...

"Wait, where did you get a goodies surprise box with FMA items??!!" How I acquired these items

So I was browsing a local second hand website one day when I saw an listing called "random FMA lot". Being a huge FMA fan and barely seeing any items locally for sale from it, I clicked on it. The ad had barely hits and the bidding was incredibly low. The pictures were made with the most awful potato-cam you can imagine and I could barely make out what the items on the pictures were, except for...

ITEM #13245

Now this was an item I was interested in! Although not hunting heavily, I had great interest in this small figure and the book it came with. Without much thinking I made an offer around the value of the Book-In-Figure only and when I woke up the next morning I found an email that my offer was accepted with payment details.

In all my excitement I paid and after that a (small) panic came to me. I just bid on this lot, but I actually had no clue (thanks to the bad pictures) what all the stuff was what I was going to get! What if it was all bootleg or everything damaged? Oh well, too late now. And my curiosity got me too much to try and cancel this. I also knew the Book-In-Figure didn't have bootlegs, so that one at least should be fine. So let's see where this would turn out...

Package

And here is the package! I'm not a fan of Minions, but I'm always happy when someone puts something personalized on a package!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6js0PeE6-EE/VhQgtNmNgmI/AAAAAAAADrc/DHLqe5k9zB0/s912-Ic42/IMG_5227.JPG

*heavy breathing*

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-aoENtPdKdQ4/VhQgtrF9sbI/AAAAAAAADrg/CwpTtbraNUo/s912-Ic42/IMG_5228.JPG

Ahhh! Yes yes yes!

Contents

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-SQawXzoBGbA/VhQgvFHad4I/AAAAAAAADrw/M3Fktd4S3zM/s720-Ic42/IMG_5230.JPG

I started off by picking up the smallest item I saw lying on the top of the package. So uhm, yeah, puzzle pieces.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-H1iqORn4AiE/VhQgv2Jw2WI/AAAAAAAADr4/f6ecD7jsfg8/s912-Ic42/IMG_5231.JPG

O...kay. Onto the next item!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XA3KfaN-m0E/VhQgxPA87FI/AAAAAAAADsI/iAZDdb0XTDk/s720-Ic42/IMG_5233.JPG

I decided to grab the smallest bag in there and hey, that is not a Fullmetal Alchemist character.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-4Psi81RVmvY/VhQgx6B03CI/AAAAAAAADsQ/oWRtnQP5xzE/s720-Ic42/IMG_5235.JPG

I know this one all too well...especially because I buy so much older trading figures. She is from the Negima Figumate series. Seems like this one was quite a rare/special one ITEM #22287 But let's take a look at the other items in the bag to finally see some FMA stuff!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-D_FiwS_GN90/VhQgy7wbm4I/AAAAAAAADt0/Q8jYR3A0tZY/s912-Ic42/IMG_5236.JPG

Underneath the Negima figure were these 2 ITEM #16190 and ITEM #16187 They are very small figures, with the cute option to link their bases. The quality detail isn't super high, but for their size it's pretty good. I've seen quite some people also getting these in grab boxes! I'm not sure yet if I want to collect the whole set of these, but I want to at least try to get ITEM #16186 and ITEM #16189 later!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-WRptotxsNek/VhQgztnBMlI/AAAAAAAADss/K793vgAJlyM/s720-Ic42/IMG_5237.JPG

Now this one I really like! A fastener from Havoc ITEM #353384 ! The quality of it looks so good and it's really heavy, so I'm not sure if I want to use it. I think I will keep it as a display piece!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-O8Gwm_0BlPI/VhQgzds3uuI/AAAAAAAADsg/E8jADJ3yUqI/s720-Ic42/IMG_5238.JPG

Oh man, this Winry ITEM #165013 looks pretty bad...but upon checking some user pictures, I think this is just an ugly trading figure and not a bootleg? I got the secret version with (what I think is) a knife instead of a wrench.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-y0idgvj-KaI/VhQg0A_P-FI/AAAAAAAADtk/00yoq_ZpARY/s720-Ic42/IMG_5239.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-FQssFGQBD7E/VhQg0cX-odI/AAAAAAAADtU/-RuP9U6HM_E/s720-Ic42/IMG_5241.JPG

Now this is an nice trading figure ITEM #3782 ! I'm loving all the small details, such as the Ouroboros tattoo, the muscle sculpt and View spoilerHide spoilerthat Envy is stepping on the head of Number 48.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-FwqEXK1JJpA/VhQg08N_JeI/AAAAAAAADs8/E5KJCSq1N_E/s720-Ic42/IMG_5242.JPG

Then 2 Roy's ITEM #14881 and ITEM #16801 The one on the left looks so bad, meh. But also here it seems like it's just a low quality figure and again no bootleg. The one on the right I like a lot and I have currently displayed. He's unfortunately without a base, but can stand very well by himself.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-Mh7PP6u7S9w/VhQg1aE-1qI/AAAAAAAADtQ/bWOOjP_K3oM/s720-Ic42/IMG_5243.JPG

Now for a bit of a derpy face Winry figure ITEM #3779 Oh well, she's okay I guess, but I prefer Winry more when she's tough looking!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-eMtXvxaxGSQ/VhQg1j9D8AI/AAAAAAAADtE/o2kETQ2ZUgo/s720-Ic42/IMG_5244.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-dCcaBOqX-Yo/VhQg2eHFnAI/AAAAAAAADtM/0KUfuFSa0Gc/s720-Ic42/IMG_5245.JPG

Next an Alphonse ITEM #16798 , this one also without a base (why would someone toss the bases for all these figures??? The bases aren't even that big!) Al can also stand and the details are the nicest from all the trading figures in this box so far!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-93ZL-Cc02mI/VhQg2-tpXDI/AAAAAAAADtg/hAZXCDPywdU/s720-Ic42/IMG_5246.JPG

Then the detail quality on this trading figure from Edward ITEM #3778 is also really nice! Unfortunately this figure is really small View spoilerHide spoilersorry Ed, I don't want to hurt you, but it's the truth.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-d-QrXImDZro/VhQg3nRy2AI/AAAAAAAADtw/IzighYYdfpA/s720-Ic42/IMG_5247.JPG

These three make a nice set for display together!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2Gs_OnikKFE/VhQg371ypHI/AAAAAAAADto/EJFj8UvFylM/s720-Ic42/IMG_5249.JPG

Then there were 2 boxed figures, of which the first one was this Edward ITEM #16795 .

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-poD3cW2KIDI/VhQg4x5MSyI/AAAAAAAADt4/xwxh34mZsfM/s912-Ic42/IMG_5252.JPG

The second one was another ITEM #16798 , but now complete and with a base.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-A3ZxGrt2UDg/VhQg5ffWf2I/AAAAAAAADuE/Qfr695Jg5Os/s720-Ic42/IMG_5253.JPG

At the bottom of the box, as final surprise item was this set.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pGJUj0sP2zY/VhQg6EOwmfI/AAAAAAAADuI/N5fay4o3kOo/s912-Ic42/IMG_5254.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZKioNyGrpI4/VhQg7Y64qeI/AAAAAAAADuQ/PlioHP297_I/s912-Ic42/IMG_5255.JPG

It turned out to be a Karuta ENCYCLOPEDIA #43222 set ITEM #353398 ! My Japanese is very bad, so I'm not the best person to explain what Karuta is, the only thing I know is that it is a traditional Japanese game where you have two types of cards: one explaining a situation and one visually showing the situation. It's then up to the player to find the matching visual card after reading (or let the card be read aloud) the card with the text. So you have to understand Japanese quite well to make use of these play cards.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3lN5P_UR0E0/VhQg8hFVhnI/AAAAAAAADuY/wAW6iEtb2vQ/s912-Ic42/IMG_5256.JPG

The left pile of the cards was indeed a set with Japanese text-only cards.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-cUYbAP0tLv8/VhQg9ZzDRgI/AAAAAAAADuk/HypG4RBGYXA/s912-Ic42/IMG_5258.JPG

The right pile is with all the artwork, they are all illustrations from the manga, but now colored. While I was unboxing this set, I decided to look around a bit and I was surprised to see that this set could be found in big numbers and pretty cheap (on average $5-$15) on eBay and Yahoo! Auctions! I expected this item to be quite special or rare, but I was wrong! Anyway, below I will show my 2 favorite cards from this set:

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-E-9C6bwiyDQ/VhQg9zHyZ8I/AAAAAAAADuo/uaCKPr8Eay8/s720-Ic42/IMG_5260.JPG

Sooooooo cute!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-6Kem_GGMDpc/VhQg-MCm2kI/AAAAAAAADu4/8sSb-7-FmDA/s720-Ic42/IMG_5262.JPG

I had to laugh really hard when I saw this card for the first time. It's already a super funny situation in both the manga and anime, but now colored with Roy and Havoc's faces blushing so much and Sheska being so uncomfortable in the background, this is perfection!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MdGIlgXdo9M/VhQg-hJw3XI/AAAAAAAADvE/3jk37znfc18/s720-Ic42/IMG_5263.JPG

*cough* And now for the item that was the real reason I bought all of this stuff, ITEM #13245 !

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-23rwOSW4WLo/VhQg_NMRnLI/AAAAAAAADvA/tbn3Ephk_8c/s720-Ic42/IMG_5264.JPG

The figure itself is an bigger size than I expected and the details on it are very nice as well! The only big letdown for me is that the book turned out to be missing... I contacted the seller to ask if she still had it, but she said she got it without one View spoilerHide spoilershe even said she didn't know it was supposed to come with one!

It's called a book in figure and the main item is the book with the figure as bonus, it even says so on the packaging!

Oh well i'll just hope expect this person to be honest and have no clue about collectables...
. So it looks like I should still be on the lookout for an affordable second copy of this figure or I should try to buy the book seperately as I really wanted to see the contents from the it (it's supposed to be about a lot of things from the military, including detailed drawings and text about how their unforms came to be).

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ACrdersHW-M/VhQg_u9nVzI/AAAAAAAADvI/f4YAgg0ApPY/s720-Ic42/IMG_5267.JPG

The decals on Riza's face are incredibly clean and she has a nice expression.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-K-PL-GHFWo0/VhQjs3qUNHI/AAAAAAAADwM/FPXjcBzyOWo/s912-Ic42/IMG_5268.JPG

Black Hayate also makes a small appearance! View spoilerHide spoilerI should clean this figure I saw thanks to these pictures.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ZtqiWwu2gi0/VhQhAhSjlqI/AAAAAAAADvQ/UHfI_TKBXEY/s912-Ic42/IMG_5269.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-iDanyWoEcVk/VhQhBeUHVSI/AAAAAAAADvY/dZgZTXY3ymw/s912-Ic42/IMG_5271.JPG

I was confused at first when I saw the flame on Roy's hand. It looked to me like it broke off and was ugly re-glued by the previous owner. I asked some people on MFC that also own this figure about it and it seems like it's the same on theirs. So a weird design/manufacturing choice I guess...

Anyway this small diorama is a nice one and I would recommend it to all (military characters from) Fullmetal Alchemist fans! The price is a bit steep nowadays, but it's a great piece! It's probably even more interesting if you get the book with it.

Current displays

Because I live in a temporary appartment I don't have a lot of space to display everything, so for now I just displayed my favorites from this loot and put the rest in storage.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-MKOjI8ZkyEI/VhQhCW9fFZI/AAAAAAAADvk/F715AaqLlJw/s912-Ic42/IMG_5272.JPG

My ITEM #13245 I display next to the Hughes figure I already owned ITEM #16803 and of course I had to put them together with my military-reference book ITEM #272732 View spoilerHide spoilerThat's my CLUB #912

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3C-duPgK-bY/VhQhDR9aZFI/AAAAAAAADvo/QvNcrUnGteA/s912-Ic42/IMG_5275.JPG

To give an idea about the size, this diorama is pretty small!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-3R86Dj27TU8/VhQhEBCEmNI/AAAAAAAADvw/4fhv7xGzbRU/s912-Ic42/IMG_5276.JPG

My other favorites were this Ed ITEM #3778 and Al ITEM #16798 and the Envy figure ITEM #3782 .

Complete loot and final thoughts

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-ggz7CrZy5eY/VhQgu1wc7dI/AAAAAAAADrs/Cut-I7o-9X4/s912-Ic42/IMG_5229.JPG

And here is everything together! Even though I had some disappointments (such as the book of the Book-In-Figure missing), I also got quite a lot of really neat items I wasn't necesssarily looking for, but I am really glad to own right now (such as the karuta-set and the fastener)! Would I do this again if I could re-do it? For sure. I love surprises and think I still got a really nice deal! The only thing is that I should learn myself to think about some buys better instead of just going for it when I see something I like, haha! View spoilerHide spoilerSeriously, I could have ended up with a heavily damaged Book-In-Figure and the rest being bootleg crap. I should learn better to restrain myself. O.O

I hope you enjoyed reading this blog! As for my next blog, I'm not sure yet what it will be about! I have a half-finished Garage Kit where I could write a part 1-blog from (or I wait a bit longer and make a full blog about it) or I could write the blog about my Chi-Chi costume as announced in blog/20041 , hrmmm what to write, what to write~

Thanks for reading!

VioFitz (2年前) #5118553Wow, that Alphonse looks badass! Hahaha, one of the card full of legs.

I have a double from him! But I'm pretty sure that international shipping will get high. :(

And yeah, that card is the best!

eiszeitshinigami (2年前) #4199146The slicked back hair look for Roy is definitely a weakness. God I love that look. It was one reason why I bought the Kai plus he was far cheaper than the RAH even if his joints are a bit tough to deal with here and there XD;
Yeah, one of the buckles on his undershirt sleeve popped off when I removed his tailcoat, so I had to carefully super glue it back into place. I used the gel kind so it wouldn’t seep through. So far that was the only problem I’ve had with him because the inside of the tailcoat has a little bit of fraying and it got caught in that upon removal ^^; Other than that the fabric is way better than I thought it would be.
Very true XD Like with Free! Haru-chan, Mako-chan, and Rin-chan get first dibs. I end up liking minor characters more often than not or the not-fan favorites. I at least managed to pick up a used copy of William’s character CD at a decent price, so there is that XD I’ve been eyeing his prop plus and strap too. I’ve got my fingers crossed for Figma’s of Joseph from The Evil Within so that I can customize a Will out of one since the characters are like twins LOL
Yeah, but it was as sealed one and the sellers reputation was iffy at best, so I think they were just price gouging it XD; I’ve seen others go for around the same price as you mentioned. The rest of the listings on eBay of course were the fakes x.x; definitely try those two are quite popular ^_^ I have a feeling they’ll sell quickly.
Same here actually, and they usually only set out like a handful of figures at a time: it’s a smart move on their part. I’m hoping the vendors at the con I’m attending on Halloween are better. The one I go to in September is kind of a mixed bag, so I usually stick to the vendors I know who sell authentic goods. I wish I had bought more from the vendor I bought the Yu Yu Hakusho straps from. He was really nice too.

Sounds like me with key chains. The nicer and more expensive ones I use for display, but I’ll use the GE ones to wear around. Back in high school I had an Eternal Sailor Moon key chain that cost me about 12.00 at the time. I lost her on campus, backtracked and could not find her x.x; so ever since then I always use the cheaper key chains or fakes ones if I have them instead: since I don’t mind losing those. Though I did end up with a Hellsing satchel that ended up being a fake that I use to store stuff in at cons, only official ones I have are an old Gravitation one and a Kuroshitsuji one with Claude and Sebastian on it, but I haven’t used those much yet. I did end up replacing the Hellsing one with an official FMA backpack this past year. I’m kind of using it as a gag to go with my Edward Elric Cosplay XD;
My friend and I do that too. Whatever funds we have left over on Sunday we combine and buy an arm full of snacks that pretty much ends up our lunch that day XD; Save for media items that’s usually the only thing I end up buying any more unless there’s something I absolutely can’t find anywhere else. Otherwise, they’re too pricey.

I'm not that fan of Kai figures (I only own 2), but oh man his hair. I have been tempted quite some times to buy that figure only for that reason, haha!

Oh man, that is so sad if something breaks down so quickly right out of the box. I've also had it with a few figures (mainly action figures), snap there goes a joint. >.>

Well specifically for me the good news is that I like most of the Yami's more and Malik is my favorite. xD But I'm pretty annoyed that I can't even display the main character together with his Yami!

Lol! I don't know about the Evil Within. It wasn't that popular/succesfull over here. I did buy the game, but my graphics card is not good enough, so my limited edition copy is catching dust here lol.

I see so much eBay sellers with crazy prices. Of course if something is rare, you can ask quite a bit for it, but asking 2x the amount or more than the cheapest seller, why would someone do that? :P I currently have no clue where they are as a big part of my collection is in storage. So when I (hopefully) unbox everything in my next home, I want to photograph everything and put up for sale the stuff I don't like as much anymore. My collection is way too big!

My next con is a small one this saturday and I have a stand to try and sell my own secondhand items. I hope it goes well! >.< I'm really scared to get into the minus with all the travel costs I will make...

I also only use items I won't mind damaging, but I won't buy bootlegs on purpose to use them. I have a few items were I do regret using them, such as a pretty rare Ciel fastener/keychain that is still on my phone and lost about 1/3 of his paint... ^^'' But when I was in my Kuroshitsuji-fan-peak, I didn't know much about what stuff was fake and what was real, so I just bought and used everything.

I mostly start off with buying a few cans of my bf's favorite drink (UCC Coffee), then I just browse around to see if there is something interesting to buy and when I have some money and interest left I sometimes buy more snacks. :)

Maakie (2年前) #4192756I never really liked the looks of the Roy RAH to be honest, but the option to display him with his hair back and the cap on...hrmm. :>
I guess the only thing you should be scared about with Sebastian is some decals here and there, but he looks quite safe. The more (high quality) soft fabric te better. xD
Well, Grell is quite the fan-favorite. You see that with more figures and merchandise with series. Take for example Yu-Gi-Oh! where they made figures from allmost all the "yami" versions of people, but not their normal versions. Yami's are way more popular, even though most of the characters you see more in their normal version. Heck, the main character only has a figure from his Yami and instead of making the normal main character, they started making even more Yami's of others!!! >.> The only YGODM character that has a figure from both his normal and his Yami version is Malik, the fan favorite.
For real? O.O The last time I checked I saw them for 35/40-ish each (which I hope to get). Mine are opened with flattened boxes, though. So I don't think I can get anything close to $100 for the both of them (guessing they were sealed, boxed ones?). I'm going to try my luck, though. xD
Most bootleg sellers here seem to focus on the small stuff too, with the biggest items being reprinted wallscrolls and posters and an occasional figure. I guess they want to play it "safe" with mainly having cheap items selling for cheap.
Haha, the first anime-wallet I ever bought (from Kuroshitsuji) was a bootleg. :P I still use it, though. The quality of the fake leather is really nice, even though the print is fading. Now knowing better, I would have never bought it, but considering I own it already, I just use it.
Mostly at cons I buy Japanese snacks and drinks and occasionally a small item or a book or DVD. But figures...well barely. Last time I did that was when I was at a big German con and they had figures that were quite rare to pop up online for likewise prices to their online prices.

eiszeitshinigami (2年前) #4108466Yeah, at least Ed and Al are easier to find than Roy and their prices are still decent. I’ve seen Roy’s price go all the way up to 600 + before *winces* I thought about that too, so far I’m glad the Sebastian one doesn’t appear to have any leather clothes at all, so he’s easy to deal with thus far ^_^
Oh yes, they look so derpy compared. I can really tell with the William T. Spears one too. I still want them to make a 1/8th scale of him from BOC, but I have a feeling they’ll probably do the other circus members first if it happens. In a way, I’m kind of bummed that they produced Grell’s 1/8th first since he didn’t get as much air time in BOC, but sales wise I can see why he got the first pitch.
Don’t blame yah for that. It’s amazing what they go for despite being so small XD Think the last set I saw on eBay of them from Japan was well over a 100.00. Don’t think it included shipping either.
Yes, the vendor has a lot of other bootleg items like key chains, and other small trinkets. Figures only make up a small portion of his display thankfully. That’s good ^_^ If I end up with fake plush, I put them to use and use them for custom plush patterns, so at least they’re not a full waste and I’m not butchering official ones for such projects XD I’ve seen others use officials for that and it makes me wince, so I’d rather use a boot for butchering purposes. Ouch, that does suck. I agree. Wallets are also heavily bootlegged too, especially at this con. I saw one that had FF7 characters on it and it had the wrong title number across the front I believe it had FFXIV on it instead. Kind of why I avoid figures all together at cons and stick mostly to buying media from the vendors instead, I get all my figures from a local shop and they give me a certain percentage off for pre-ordering from them too, so that’s a plus ^_^

Maakie (2年前) #4108105Well, you could still try to get that Ed RAH, right? But I would watch out very well if I were you, because of the real clothes he wears. He probably also wears fake leather pants and those get flakey easily on dolls... >.>
99% of the bootlegs from Prop Plus Petit series are so ugly, you can see it right away they're fake without having to check copyrights lol. xD
I'm actually planning on selling my Alois and Claude. xD But I want to put them on eBay myself, because I paid a crazy price myself for them years ago, so I want to try to get as much as possible back for them. D:
Haha, that's good! At a recent con I had a stand for my second hand figures and the people next to me were 100% bootleg plushie sellers. They barely sold any stuff during the con, which made me feel good. xD The bad part was that the people that did buy something thought it was the real deal and the salespeople kept lying about it, urgh. People that sell bootlegs on purpose are the lowest. -.-'

Yeah, at least Ed and Al are easier to find than Roy and their prices are still decent.

Kind of why I avoid figures all together at cons and stick mostly to buying media from the vendors instead, I get all my figures from a local shop and they give me a certain percentage off for pre-ordering from them too, so that’s a plus ^_^

eiszeitshinigami (2年前) #4084070I agree. That's primarily the main reason I snagged that figure too :)
I admit, I thought about getting him, but was torn between him or Megahouse Ed at the time, so wound up going with Megahouse instead. I personally like the expression and face better. Though now I'm wishing I had gotten them both XD They had Alphonse at the store as well, but I wound up passing them both up since I couldn't get them all at once even if I wanted too XD; Yeah, I only managed to get Sebastian. With all the accessories he's definitely worth the price and has more action based poses. Ciel just felt too expensive x.x;
Yeah, I managed to snag a Jeremiah Prop Plus from Geass off eBay and thankfully it had all the copyright on the bottom so *sigh of relief* I've been trying to hunt a few down myself. Especially the Alois and Claude ones, but the sets are really expensive on eBay x.x;
Ouch, I felt the same way about the Free! 1/8th's. Doesn't seem like too many were fooled by them since they were sitting there pretty much the entire time XD;

Maakie (2年前) #4070589Yeah, he's so detailed and his expressions are amazing. :3 I love him to bits!
You own his RAH? :O Wow, I thought that one was pretty hard to get nowadays! I'm personally not really sure about RAH's in general. Their body's make them look like a doll and then they have a static-figure face. So I'm not sure if I will ever get one, even if it's from a character I like. The Kuroshitsuji ones recently were very tempting though, but I skipped because of their price.
Actually with that Kuroshitsuji set, I own a few (legit) ones and I was thinking of maybe selling them, but I think that will become really hard because places like eBay, but also physical at cons are all infested with the fakes. >.<
A recent con where I went to already had an bootleg ITEM #264423 up before the release of the legit one... I was sad to see it already sold within the first hour the con opened...

eiszeitshinigami (2年前) #4023716Same. The Megahouse one is a favorite of mine as well :) Definitely the most detailed Ed figure by far. When I got it, I was torn between it and the RAH at the time. I prefer the face on the Megahouse Ed compared to the RAH too. I agree ^_^ His coat definitely helps add onto that one.
Yeah, I was extremely careful in buying those, so I was thrilled to find a non-bootlegged set :D I figured at 50.00 from Japan I'd be safe XD; I see the boots at local cons all the time and avoid them completely. Especially the Kuroshitsuji ones *sees those all the time* same vendor too ^^; The vendor in question even had the fake Free! 1/8th's this year as well.

Maakie (2年前) #4004389I was hoping/expecting after MegaHouse Ed his success that there would be more, but it became awfully quiet... :/
I actually prefer Ed his younger look, so I like the MegaHouse figure a lot! But he is indeed short for a 1/8, buuuut the extra pieces and his coat make up for it!
Yeah, FMA doesn't have many figures, but there is so much bootlegged, also those Prop Plus Petit's you mention are bootlegged to hell and back. >.< I also see a lot of bootlegs from especially loose Roy and Riza's at local conventions and I think those don't even have real figures they are based on. xD
