I am not a specialist on that but I can give you my opinion based on my collection:

1 - Good smile company
2 - Tsume. I would say they have the biggest potential for growth and improvement.
3 - MegaHouse. My favorite but the quality can be quite inconsistent from one figure to another.
4 - Banpresto. Specifically and limited only to Creator x Creator, and King of Artist. They are becoming quite good.
5 - Union Creative

And a special shoutout to Gecco; their Hatake Kakashi figure is a beauty.

Having said that, I would consider all of the above-mentioned companies again when buying a figure. They would heavily influence my choice.

What do you think of SEGA and Stronger?

yunomi3年前#18265665Quality wise, I'd say:
1. Alter
2. Good Smile Company
3. Kotobukiya
4. Max Factory
5. Megahouse
I don't own many figures made by these companies but a friend of mine does. I've spent quite some time inspecting his figures. Putting aside popular opinions, I really thought Alter stood out the most.
Off topic, don't mind those, "Oh not this thread again" posts. They could've ignored if they want to but they didn't. This whole forum isn't made only for the oldies. And basic topics such as this isn't only for them to discuss just because they joined before you. There are tons of new members every week.

andre304963年前#18378715The recent high school DXD one aannounced at won fes doesn't seem too bad what do u think?

Not really my style of figure, but quality wise she looks OK. :-)

YuRiPa3年前#18265604Is Griffon really that bad? I have quite some Griffon figures actually (mostly their Ikkitousen figures), and all are of really good quality (at least I can't find any (major) flaws on my figures). Though most are pre-2011, when it seems their quality started deteriorating. Though I have to say my Escha from 2015 is also of impeccable quality, but it seems she was just a lucky one-off of Griffon in the last few years. :P

Halcione3年前#18265660Like I said, they definitely seem to have improved. They can still have a crappy release every now and then, but for the most part they're fairly decent. One should not expect Alter levels of quality, but it's fine.
I'm not talking from experience btw, I own no figures from them. I've just noticed that Griffon being bad is a recurring meme around here :V

Halcione3年前#18258868Griffon is the token company used to exemplify bad quality. In reality they've gotten better (though still not exactly top notch), but they did leave a sour taste in many mouths and have become kind of a meme over here.
Kappa is love, Kappa is life, but Keepo is better. For the uninitiated, it implies sarcasm.
