First and foremost, I'm suck at ufocatchers. I'm so bad at it I've never score a prize from these machines ever. I've been in Japan five times previously and spent 3-4000 JPY average on crane games. But now on my 6th Japan trip I did find a machine where the difficulty were set to kindergarten level. So thank you GAMEアミュージアム at Lalaport Toyosu for letting me grab not one but two ufocatcher prize after over 9000 tries.

And this is what I managed to get:

Woooo, congrats! :D I was planning to try some of these catchers too when I go to Japan, but I have such bad luck and skills in these machines (just like you xD). I have been thinking about maybe trying the ones with small goods instead of the ones with big figures or big merch. So I hope I have more luck in those. :') I've read blogs of people grabbing 5 keychains in one go on such a machine, so I should be able to get at least one thing if I try multiple times...? xD

Let me tell you a secret though.
I GOT THEM AFTER 10,000,000 TRIES AND IVE SPENT SO MUCH ON THEM I COULD EASILY GET 3-4 EXPENSIVE FIGURES T^T!
Lol!

But the fun process to acquire them worth it, i bet.

turnmebackwards3年前#21524391On my first trip I managed to win this figure - ITEM #289034 3000 Yen worth of goes.
Second trip nothing 4000 Yen down the drain.
On my third trip I plan on avoiding these places, most of the prize figures can be brought for 1200 Yen in Akihabara if you look around.
Well done for winning something though have fun in Japan!

MugenTenshinFRD3年前#21541561Congrats with your 1st win!
When I was in Japan last year, I actually didn't even bother playing the games, since I'm not too good at them either. Just walking and looking past the machines, I could tell from my head how much each item is, a figure usually goes for ¥1000-¥2000 and you can find them too in Akiba. However, it takes the fun and joy away of winning a figure from effort.

Yep, usually I do buy the items in the stores what I didn't win. I just love ufocatchers. Playing with them is fun, and doesn't matter how bad my skills at it.

First try I won a 500Y detective Conan ^_^ I spent a little on WCF figures too, but I won on almost all my tries. If you act like a confused foreigner I found they moved up the WCFs I wanted so they were easy drops :-P The Conan one was with no help, so just lucky?

On my first trip to Japan, I managed to win quite a few prizes, but on my recent trip, I couldn't get anything.
I swear the cranes have gotten even more rigged these days.
