I usually don't do haul posts, this is actually my second one ever, but I was really excited by some of the stuff I got, so I thought I'd share. It's also rather rare that I get more than a couple of figures in the span of a month anyway, so not often I get the chance for a full haul post either.

As the title says, this post is all going to be Kingdom Hearts merch. Not really something I'd entirely planned for, but late nights scrolling through Surugaya & Yahoo Auctions with the Kingdom Hearts tag and well, things happened and wallet-kun took a few hits.

Trading Arts:

First up, the figures in this haul, ITEM #125728 and ITEM #38245. While looking through Yahoo Auctions, I actually found 2 of my grail figures, 1 of which being my all time holy grail!

I had wanted the Halloweentown one for forever, but I started collecting around 2014 a year after it came out, and didn't know much of the sites I know about now. So, I ended up missing out on getting it when it was newer and it only got harder to find over time. I'd tried looking in the past after I did learn about more sites but usually on the off chance I actually found a listing, it was either sold out or insanely overpriced, usually upwards of $60 on the few that had it. I know that's really nothing when you think about prices for some other figures we all collect, but for a small trading figure like this, that just didn't seem worth it, even if it was the one figure I wanted most of all.

Finally, I decided to go looking around Yahoo Auctions and a listing popped up for only $24! Seemed like a pretty good steal at that price for how hard to find it was and I jumped on it immediately.

I just love Sora's vampire outfit so much and really like the figure's details. The figure came opened and pre-assembled, but it still is in excellent condition, so it doesn't really matter to me. I actually already had the Space Paranoids one that I'd gotten at a convention back when I started collecting, but sadly that was the only one they had.

So now I have both of my favorites from the 3rd set. Don't think I'll try for any of the others, but if I do, I'd probably go for the Timeless River one. ITEM #125726

After nabbing the Halloweentown one, I kept scrolling for a couple more pages on Yahoo Auctions and stumbled on a listing for the Namine Trading Arts from the 2nd set.

This has also been one I've wanted for a really long time, but not quite to a degree with the Halloweentown one where I never really was actively looking for it. I'm not that into Namine, but I just love the design for this figure where it reminds me of part of the opening for Kingdom Hearts 2 where it shows Sora, Donald, & Goofy running up the spiral staircase and the design just feels like it perfectly captures Chain of Memories.

Honestly, I'd say this one is even more rare than the Halloweentown one, not just from being from an older set (released in 2010!), but because the Namine figure was oddly removed from the US release of the set. So I was amazed to not just find one on Yahoo Auctions but still sealed in the plastic wrap for only $12! Though it being so cheap makes some sense as the part of the staircase right in front of where Namine sits and Sora is running up is warped a little and sits lower than it should. Though I'm not too bothered by it.

It even included the box and instruction sheet, though the box has definitely seen better days. 2 black plastic discs were also included inside the plastic bag she was sealed in but I have no idea what they are. If anyone knows, please let me know in the comments. My best guess is either some form of included riser or just a mini-weight to try to keep people from being able to guess which figure is which too easily while sealed in the box.

Concert CD:
This would be the original reason I started looking around at Kingdom Hearts stuff online. I was a bit tight on funds when the Kingdom Hearts orchestra concert first came around so I didn't get any of the exclusive merch mixed with the fact I was stupid and thought it'd be fine and I could just get some of it later if I wanted. Dumbass, I collect figures, I should've absolutely known better than that! Trying to find a copy wasn't really easy at first as most available were either the First Breath or World of Tres versions and I really wanted the World Tour one more as I prefer the track list. Then eBay was a massive bust as any listings were well over $100.

I figured I'd get a little creative and tried Surugaya which sure enough had it for 4500Y. A little high for a CD, but pretty good considering the eBay prices and that it originally sold for 3500Y through Square.

Keyblade Collection:
Last up, we have Keyblades! These are all from Bandai's Keyblade Collection keychain sets, some from the first ENTRY #168774 and some from the second ENTRY #176088.

I got all but Pumpkinhead through Surugaya, that one was actually a Christmas present. They were all around $5-8 a piece aside from Oblivion that was closer to $15, but that's a popular one so I get the increase. Still trying to find Oathkeeper and Kingdom Key D, don't really want Wishing Lamp. I do have the upcoming 3rd set ENTRY #189918 pre-ordered though, so I have Kingdom Key covered. Most people don't seem to like Crabclaw, but it's actually one of my favorites from KH1, only beaten by Pumpkinhead. Happy they've made both of my favorites from KH1 and looking at the upcoming 3rd set, it'll have Monochrome & Photon Debugger, some of my favorites from KH2 as well.

These are really cool and I do hope Bandai keeps the line going for a while to make a bunch of the keyblades throughout the series, especially the BBS trio's main ones.

That's all for now. Maybe I'll do another one of these in the future, maybe not, we'll see if reason comes up again.

Seiki5ヶ月前#76303354They don't look to be able to put in the figure or be connected to the figure in any way. They're just weird hunks of black plastic. They're maybe half as tall and half as wide as the base

Because I was so intrigued by it I went on a search and I only found someone asking online the same question as you do haha. Yeah I guess they are there for the weight then, I can't think of anything else. If you are keeping the boxes I would keep those plastic pieces as well, they might help with proving authenticity if you were to sell any of them. But of course I hope you will enjoy them for a long time! :)

Maakie5ヶ月前#76283537Congrats on getting those KH trading arts! I remember those being in stock at one my local anime shops for ages...it's hard to imagine for me they go for such high prices now! The market can be so weird sometimes!
And that is strange with those weights...they can't be inserted in the figure somewhere for extra stability?

Wario545ヶ月前#75966251I always kind of wanted that Namine, hate how she got removed from the US release. :( I’m still tempted to get her just to complete the set. And wow I didn’t realize the third set got so rare, I guess I was lucky to be collecting at the time. Congrats on tracking down your favorites! Timeless River is my personal favorite haha but they’re all super cute. I wish they made more, I would’ve lost it if they made a 100 Acre Wood one. Ooh the keyblades are pretty! I may have to get a few myself. Good luck on hunting the rest! Great loot!

Thanks! It seems like it varies a bit between the figures. The Destiny Island one shouldn't be too hard to track down. Halloweentown just seems the rarest to find for a good price.

Ooh I love that Namine! That's awesome you were able to get ahold of those! I don't know if I've ever seen the Halloween Town one - that's super cool.
Also, the Timeless River one is adorable hahaha

I was really into Kingdom Hearts years ago and I always wanted Formation Arts KH1 Sora: ITEM #8812. Never did find it though lol
