Let's play dress-up
Have you ever wanted to see Ryomou in a tight, latex miniskirt? Or how about Tifa in a china dress? Sometimes we get lucky and figure makers give us what we want. Most of the time however, we must make use of our imaginations.

While looking at some of the pictures of this site I came across a person who dressed up a cast-off Arshes Nei with a nice actual cloth skirt and top. Now Arshes looks good with her armor and without it, but seeing her dressed in casual is just something else. Moving right along I continued to browse and came across the same basic idea again only executed differently with awesome results.

Someone made a skirt and dress out of a balloon for a figure. A literal latex outfit. This inspired me to try my hand at dressing up some of my more provocative figures, which leads me to my next part.

I have some figures that are NSFW and occasionally not safe for home either. I don't like moving my figures around or having to rotate them to have more decent ones up front. Most of the provocative ones are cast-offs whose clothing is tough to get to stay in place and whose connecting pegs are a pain. Therefore I have gone out to buy some Barbie clothes that makes my figures pass the decency test and then there is some handmade clothes that puts them in the "clothed-but-not-really" category.

I hope that more people will take a chance and dress up their figures because we already know what the standard figure looks like. Everyone who bought it has the same one. Make yours unique and show everyone that a hot warrior babe looks just as good, if not better, in a sailor uniform than in plated armor.

Generally the dolls have to be pretty straight to put on the clothes, though, but the limbs don't really have to bend while putting the clothes on. (I only have two Azones with dresses, though, maybe pants would be easier?)

I have noted in the past that figures with rather static poses are easier to dress up with Barbie clothes since these are designed to be placed on a doll whose arms and legs are straight.

Figures that allow you to remove body parts such as limbs and heads also make dress up easier but you can get around his with a stretchy enough fabric e.g. Latex balloons, and plenty of care.

I would not recommend pants unless the figure's feet are close together and it is not wearing shoes.

berserkfury (2年前) #6113244Hmmm, you have piqued my interest. Do you know if bending limbs are required for easy application?

einonymous (2年前) #4580365This may be too general a question, but how well do Azone clothes work on cast offs? Do they look awkward? Do Barbie clothes work better because proportions? I don't have time to sew, so I was wondering what clothes I can buy to moralize cast-offs, haha. Latex balloons are nice, but I was wondering whether there were other easy options.

xkingyox (3年前) #2339815Im really glad I found this club, ive been searching for one like this. Thats what I love about cast-offs, not only are they awesomely sexy, but you have the option to stick them in any clothes you can think of. I love the tsundare cute succubus figure, but I think those melons would look way better hanging out of a school girl outfit so thats on my to-do list. I also want to make a kimono for my tandem twins lynx figure. Im happy I found a place to share future pics so others can enjoy them too!

Great minds think alike! For the most part I have stuck with the latex balloon look for now as the only sewing machine I have access to is a 1950s singer and a pain to setup. I am not that great at sewing but I figure I might be able to take apart some already made doll clothes and copy them onto a more stretchy fabric, if you know what I mean...

Enjoy the club and I look forward to seeing your work in the future.
