I opted to skip the pre-order, but I want to know if she's still worth pursuing. So, did this one come out? Does anyone have it? Is it good or meh?
Hasn’t been released yet as far as I know. B’Full keeps their release dates secret until BOOM released ... their website may have updated but nobody bothers to update the figures on MFC since they aren’t that popular.
- I'm not a pop fan but do own a few and can say that they fall pretty soulless. I'm mainly a nendoroid collector and I love the adorable look to them, their bright colors and of course interchangeable faceplates and poses. Even though nendoroids are more expensive, I can justify the price of them over a cheap pop.
- For me it's bad paint or obvious seemlines. I'm not too picky about faces or poses if the figure itself is cute and looks nice, but an instant deal breaker is sloppy paint or gaps where sections of the figure connect. Another one is bad hair sculpts, like when it looks all clumpy. It all starts at the sculpt. If the sculpt is off, it doesn't matter how good the paint job is or how elaborate the base is ... if the sculpt is jacked, the figure is jacked!
On the bright side, this has saved me money and/or kept my figure count under control!Inaccurate faces (especially eyes and mouth), and "non-canon" outfits / poses are almost always deal breakers for me. Which is a darned shame, since sometimes a figure is otherwise stunningThank you too for responding! It's a pity that sometimes a figure would otherwise have turned out perfect, but a screw up in the face, paint or sculpt would just ruin the entire thing. The Face. If it's off in any way, it's a complete deal breaker and I can't bring myself to spend money on it (esp if it's a pricier scale)
A design that doesn't fit the character is also a no go for me.Definitely the head. I don't care how good the rest of the figure looks - If the face is off or the seam lines on the hair are too visible, I won't buy it. For me it’s the face and the base and if it’s well sculpted
Cause thats what you see right away and get confronted with every time.
A seam on top or behind ok not great but you dont see that at eye height..
Only exception is if there are no other figs. Like with mio isurugi, i kept both the griffon and prize fig. Griffon messed her face up hard but outfit looks cool..
And well prize is prize .. but the only one with her in that outfit.. which is more classic for her with that batFor me id say a bad facepaint is the worst. Like droopy ugly hair or facial expression thats off.ITEM #851375, is one I had preordered but then ended up canceling because there is just something with the shape of her mouth that I think just looks off from the original artwork and it makes her look sort of sad or upset. Also ITEM #806001 was I figure I really wanted during prototype phase but after she was painted it felt like her expression was lifeless and I passed on getting her.I am exceptionally picky about the face and expression on a figure too. Like Thank you for responding and for the examples you linked too! All great points made, I can't agree more! I gotta say, the faces on some of them look really bad... I can't stand figures with bad faces, bad paint, and out of character poses. Sadly, the OOC poses are getting more and more common as more and more characters get bunny girl scales (aside from Mai, and maybe a handful of other characters, most bunny girl scales are OOC), though. :(. And what I hate more than anything aside from bad faces is figures that fall apart while blinking at them. I also hate figures with support poles that are obvious.
- ITEM #675824 The prototype looks nice, but the face of the actual figure looks terrible. The faces of her other figures are also off too. I can tolerate some degree of the bad paintwork and pose as I usually focus on the face of a figure 90% of the time when I look at it.I'm not very familiar with the character but I can tell that the face looks really wonky...hope that one company will get it right! The face is the most important to me too. I always want a good looking Chiyo figure from Ane Naru Mono.
