the sculpt looks amazing, but I'm not feeling the design of the dress. I wished they tried another way to show her sexiness rather than take chunks out of the dress, but it IS sonico I guess.

Poogie (21時間前) #35885607Personally I do and don't mind delays. On one hand I mind cause aughhh she looks so good I want her now! But hey, on the other hand, delays in exchange for higher quality? I'm cool with that.. I agree but still the wait at the alter is killing some of us XD

Zahylon (1日前) #35841067On a side note: I think many of us are just kind of angry because Tsuji Santa got his Sonico figure 2 months in advance.
I understand he's the official Illustrator for Sonico. And I could understand he got his figure a little bit in advance.
but getting the final product 60 days ahead of the rest of the buyers feels unfair.
People got extremely hyped when they saw the Sonico delivered to him, we thought the final delivery date was around the corner.
But it wasn't

lol...no need to get mad over someone getting a PVC figure before you do.

Especially when this happens all the time. Illustrators and copyright holders get stuff months in advance. And it's not like anyone announced that she was coming soon so I don't know why some people assumed she was.

pietosis (1日前) #35838194I don't know 100% but I can't help but think they are losing money or may lose in future on these issues or long delays. seems like they make so much products there are left overs in the stores or so many people canceled and these stores are left with canceled pre orders. but it can't be great on their business on a long term with unsold things.
delays I think are fine and I also think there should be limit before it is excessive. but I think it helps if they explain why are delaying it and explain why it needs to be a delayed. it might help people be more patient.

They explained that they just had too much on PO and figures being produced in their factories. Which is understandable, but that was a while ago and it seems like delays are getting longer and more frequent so either they can’t get a handle on their situation and control it, or they’re slowly trying to reduce their announced figures.

Many figure companies pump out figures on time or at least 1-2 months later and have stunning products. Even Alter has moderate delays even if they are frequent. But GSCs situation cant be all quality centered, they just do not have control of the factories and probably have things backed up. There could be many issues at hand, but solely quality is ehhhhhh questionable

Drizzyrissy (2日前) #35829373I believe in some cases, it is a quality issue. Like when alter delays a month or two, I definitely think it’s because they might need to re-do a few pieces or extend time a bit to perfect their painting, etc.
However, in GSCs case, a 6,7,8 month delay (Albedo) on every other figure is due to much more than good quality checks. They admitted to having too many figures being produced, but it doesn’t seems like the situation is getting better, but worse. They give us longer release dates (Fate Attila) and yet they still can’t deliver. I get it delays happen, I’m pretty patient especially when it comes to quality but I don’t think that’s the situation here. Look at their Stars Bless You Sakura: long off Release date + large delay = defects.
I hope for GSCs sake they get it together soon and lighten their POs a bit. A lot of people are okay with delays, but you have people who just aren’t and want to cancel orders or buy them in the aftermarket whenever they release instead of POing. The people who are patient could end up with defective pieces which is not fair. Personally I don’t PO much from GSC anymore unless it’s a figure I can’t live without

yurikin (2日前) #35821226Not sure why everyone thinks that delays are due to making figures perfect. I think the simple answer is they have way too many items on pre-order. As if they are spending 6 months remaking expensive casts and molds wasting production time. I may be wrong also, but do work in a production environment.
